Indirectly, and that is the point. A pleasant, well-calibrated ambient fragrance lifts mood and lowers perceived stress, which encourages people to move more slowly and stay longer. Longer visits mean more of your offer is seen and considered. Published research across retail and hospitality consistently associates ambient scenting with meaningful improvements in dwell time, spend per visit and brand recall — though what matters is your own numbers, measured the same way before and after.

Particularly well, because a single small space is the easiest thing to scent correctly and the effect is immediately noticeable. A salon, a clinic, a café or a single-floor boutique gets the full benefit from one diffuser on our £30 a month plan, with the unit, the fragrance and the installation all included. There is no minimum size and no commercial scale at which this stops being worthwhile.

How do I get started?

Send us the size and type of your space — a floor plan if you have one, a description if you do not. We will tell you how many units it needs and where they should go, shortlist fragrances for the kind of space it is, and quote it. The assessment costs nothing and carries no obligation. If you go ahead, installation is usually within a week or two of choosing a fragrance.

Which industries do you work with?

Retail stores, hotels and hospitality, office buildings, fitness centres, restaurant washrooms, event venues, corporate gifting and residential development — those are the ones we work in most often. The underlying question is simply whether people spend time in the space and whether how it feels affects the outcome, which is true of almost any commercial environment.

How long does a custom scent take to develop?

It depends on the route. Choosing from our scent bank puts you live in one to two weeks. Curating a palette across multiple zones takes two to four. A rendition — taking a library scent and modifying it until it is distinctly yours — takes four to six weeks. A full signature scent composed from a blank page takes eight to twelve weeks, most of which is trial and refinement in your own space rather than waiting.

Can we try a fragrance before committing?

Always, and we insist on it. A fragrance that is captivating on a paper blotter is frequently exhausting in a real room, and the reverse is also true. We send samples of the shortlist and, for commercial sites, install a trial unit so you can live with the fragrance in your own space, at your own air turnover, before anything is signed.

Can you produce branded scented products as well?

Yes. Once a fragrance exists we can put it into candles, reed diffusers, room sprays, travel perfumes, scented cards and packaging inserts, in your own packaging design — for retail, corporate gifting, welcome amenities or event bags. Minimum order quantities are deliberately low so a first run is not a commitment.

How much does it cost?

Scenting starts at £30 a month for a small diffuser and £60 a month for a large one. Both figures are all-inclusive: the diffuser itself, the fragrance refills and the installation are all covered by the monthly price, and so is servicing. Larger premises are quoted per site after a free coverage assessment. Signature scent creation, branded merchandise and event scenting are quoted separately.

What is the difference between the small and large diffuser?

Output, and therefore coverage. The small unit at £30 a month suits a single room, a reception, a treatment room or a compact shop floor — roughly up to 150 m². The large unit at £60 a month is built for open floors, lobbies, gyms and showrooms up to roughly 500 m². If you are unsure which your space needs, send us the dimensions and we will tell you, free of charge.

Question 13

Is the fragrance really included in the monthly price?

Accepted Answer

Yes. That is the whole basis of the plan. The monthly figure covers the diffuser, the fragrance refills, the installation and ongoing servicing — there is no separate refill invoice and no installation fee. You can also change your fragrance whenever you like at no extra cost, which most clients do seasonally.

Question 14

Do the diffusers use water or heat?

Neither. The units use cold-air atomisation, which turns neat fragrance oil into a dry micro-mist. There is no water tank to refill or sanitise, no heating element to degrade the oil, and no residue left on surfaces or fabric — so the scent in the room is the scent as it was composed, not a diluted or cooked version of it.

Question 15

Are the fragrances safe for continuous use around people?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All fragrance oils we supply are IFRA-compliant and phthalate-free, and come with safety data sheets on request. Because the system atomises rather than burns or heats, nothing is combusted. For allergy-sensitive environments we can supply hypoallergenic compositions or leave a particular zone unscented.

Question 16

What does the ongoing service include?

Accepted Answer

Refills on a scheduled cycle, servicing of the unit, and support if anything is not performing as it should. In practice you should never have to notice that a refill is due — that is our job, and it is already in the monthly price.
